A Hollywood nursing home where former stars and movie workers spent their final years has become embroiled in a legal battle over plans to close it down.
The Motion Picture Country House was set up with donations from stars to look after elderly actors and unsung industry heroes.
Among those treated there were Johnny Weissmuller (Tarzan) and DeForest Kelley -- Dr McCoy from ' Star Trek '.

To describe "Our Family Wedding" as an offshoot of "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner" is undoubtedly an insult to the 1967 Stanley Kramer film.
Perhaps my memory isn't as sharp as it once was, but I fail to recall the original picture containing a scene in which a goat, jacked up on a spilled bottle of Viagra, endeavors to dry-hump an understandably confused leading character.
Again, perhaps that's my mind playing tricks on me.

With the Oscars upon us on Sunday, Academy Awards buffs can check out several of the nominees at various symposiums this weekend.
On Thursday, the academy presents the Oscar-nominated animated feature symposium; scheduled for Saturday morning is the foreign-language film award nominees' symposium, followed by the makeup artists and hairstylist symposium in the afternoon.
